Georgetown Interurban Railway Mural
Square in Georgetown
Mike Harper, Artist
12-by-24-foot mural featuring the Interurban Railway, which ran from 1906-36, and other scenes from that time period. The mural also incorporates a grapevine, which refers to the story that the town was platted with a grapevine by James Haworth in 1826-27. The town was named for Haworth’s son, George, who was crippled.
